Job Summary:

As a Principal Technical Specialist at BioVectra, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful installation and operation of our process systems and equipment. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to results.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Review and Equipment Selection: Participate in design review activities, ensuring that new equipment and systems meet our technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Hazard Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with process safety systems.
  • Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation of equipment and systems, ensuring that they are properly installed and commissioned in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and engineering design.
  • Document Control: Develop, review, and revise technical documentation, including PIDs, facility and equipment drawings, and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot process systems, equipment, and instruments, and develop maintenance and operation procedures to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate project work with internal stakeholders, contractors, and third-party vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate and maintain equipment and systems safely and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Education: Post-secondary education in Engineering, CET, or MET.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a project-based work environment, with a strong background in process systems and equipment installation.
  • Skills: Strong technical expertise, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in a regulated environment.
