Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at Sushi Jo Japanese restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, planning menus, and supervising staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Plan and develop menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our customers.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen assistants.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory and supplies, including food, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Japanese cuisine.
  • Personal Suitability: Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Work Setting:

This is a permanent position, working 30 to 40 hours per week in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Language:

English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
