Inspection Services Eddy Current Testing Trainee

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inspection Services Eddy Current Testing Trainee to join our team. As an Eddy Current Testing Trainee, you will assist senior technicians in performing routine technical assignments and support the execution of outage and inspection projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist senior technicians with mock-up maintenance, general tool assortment, and inventory management.
- Participate in site execution of outage and inspection projects as a trainee.
- Perform general NDE-related tasks in the field.
- Support senior techs on pre-deployment activities.
- Accurately complete inspection forms, logs, records, and check sheets.
- Assist with review of equipment prior to site deployment.
- Assist in setting up tests using various test materials and equipment.
- Prepare equipment or hardware for operation.
- Execute parts of field tests under the guidance of ET Level I or II employees.
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards and demonstrate a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Awareness of and appreciation for the process of Continuous Improvement.
- Under supervision, recognize process controls, set up, calibration, and testing of equipment.
- Technician/Technologist diploma: college graduate in an electrical, mechanical, or NDE discipline or equivalent related experience (0 to 2 years).
- Level I NDT Technician with ECT certificate in progress.
- Up to 70% to 80% site work/travel expected.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
BWX Technologies, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $48,000 to $68,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, retirement, and other benefits. The total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive.
