Position Summary
We are seeking an Eddy Current Testing (ECT) Technician I to support our operations. This role involves performing standard technical tasks that contribute to the design, testing, and operational efficiency of our equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support cross-functional teams and project management initiatives.
- Engage in the execution of inspection projects, with roles assigned based on qualifications.
- Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize and complete inspections efficiently.
- Participate in non-destructive testing (NDT) activities in the field.
- Assist in pre-deployment preparations and ensure readiness of equipment.
- Complete necessary documentation, including inspection forms and logs, accurately.
- Conduct various tests and inspections following established procedures.
- Set up testing environments and record results for analysis.
- Prepare equipment for operational use and assist in field tests under supervision.
- Maintain adherence to quality and safety standards, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes within the organization.
- Perform equipment calibration and testing under guidance.
- Assist in training field staff as needed.
- Manage paperwork related to inspection processes.
Additional Duties During Outage Work
- May perform duties as an acquisition operator or assistant, contingent on qualifications.
- Possibility to assume lead responsibilities during absences based on experience.
- Support inventory management and equipment handling during shipment stages.
Qualifications
- Technician/Technologist diploma in electrical, mechanical, or NDE disciplines, or equivalent experience (2-3 years).
- Certification as a Level I NDT Technician with ECT qualification.
- Familiarity with NDT methods and responsibility for on-the-job training.
- Mechanical experience with NDT equipment is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel for site work (up to 70-80%).
- Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proven capability in conducting quality testing and identifying defects.
- Experience inspecting heat exchangers using ECT methods.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is between $56,000 and $72,000 annually, depending on local market factors and the candidate's qualifications. The total compensation package may also include additional benefits.
