We are seeking a dedicated Eddy Current Testing (ECT) Trainee to join our team. This role involves supporting experienced technicians in performing essential inspection services.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

The ECT Trainee will assist in executing routine technical tasks under the guidance of senior technicians, contributing to the overall efficiency of inspection operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with senior technicians to maintain mock-ups and manage tool inventory.
  • Participate in the execution of inspection projects as a trainee.
  • Conduct general non-destructive testing (NDT) tasks in the field.
  • Support senior technicians during pre-deployment preparations.
  • Accurately complete necessary inspection documentation with assistance from the acquisition operator.
  • Aid in reviewing equipment prior to deployment at inspection sites.
  • Assist in setting up tests using various materials and equipment.
  • Prepare tools and hardware for operational use.
  • Execute portions of field tests under the supervision of certified technicians.
  • Adhere to quality and safety protocols while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Recognize and assist in the calibration and testing of equipment under supervision.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Undertake acquisition trainee responsibilities as assigned during outage work.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a Technician/Technologist diploma in electrical, mechanical, or NDE disciplines, or equivalent experience (0 to 2 years).
  • Progress towards Level I NDT Technician certification with ECT.
  • Willingness to travel for site work, with expectations of 70% to 80% travel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.

The compensation for this position will be determined based on various factors, including local market conditions and the candidate's qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package will also be available to the selected candidate.
