Our client, a fast-growing company in downtown Toronto, has partnered with ROSS to find a Director of Sales and Business Development. ROSS is a team of People Specialists helping companies align their People Strategy with their business growth. We provide remote or onsite HR and Recruitment solutions such as Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Recruitment Augmentation.

The Sales and Business Development Director will be responsible for driving demand and sales for our client's IT Security and Network products and services. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Sales and Business Development Director will be responsible for the achievement of a set of revenue and gross profit targets through the development and implementation of sales and field marketing activities that drive demand for our client's products and services in Canada.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in building enterprise sales and channel organizations, as well as experience in network security technology sales in Canada. They will be responsible for developing sales strategies for our client's proprietary mobile device authentication product, leading the sales team, and maintaining relationships with key accounts.

The Sales and Business Development Director will work closely with our client's technical and sales teams to translate customer needs into client-valued solutions and services. They will also be responsible for determining the best vertical segments to target across Canada for market growth and success.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing sales strategies for our client's proprietary mobile device authentication product
  • Leading and managing our client's sales team
  • Maintaining relationships with key accounts and growing the number of accounts/clients
  • Understanding customer needs and working with our client's technical and sales teams to translate those into client-valued solutions and services
  • Assisting clients in developing appropriate strategies and addressing needs within specific accounts
  • Determining the best vertical segments to target across Canada for market growth and success
  • Developing sales, strategies, and tactical plans to grow those markets
  • Working with vendor channel groups to provide input on required channel programs to achieve sales and business development objectives
  • Providing input into the marketing group to develop marketing programs for the Canadian market

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in network security technology sales in Canada, management experience, and knowledge of network and IT security market. They will also have exceptional sales consulting and communication skills, as well as the ability to maintain and develop fruitful senior-level relationships.
