Business Development Director

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and leading business group initiatives for Canada. This will involve sharing effective implementation of business group initiatives, developing and maintaining an effective regional business group program, and working cooperatively with other Regional Business Group Directors, Regional Operations Directors, Area Managers, and Market Sector Directors to drive Business Group strategies and initiatives in the Regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead business group initiatives for Canada, ensuring effective implementation and alignment with company goals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective regional business group program, including business development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, production methods, and standards.
  • Collaborate with Regional Business Group Directors, Regional Operations Directors, Area Managers, and Market Sector Directors to drive Business Group strategies and initiatives in the Regions.
  • Assist in the identification and prioritization of strategic hires and in the recruiting of candidates.
  • Actively participate in water industry associations and organizations.
  • Provide strong business skills as the Business Group point of interface with Operations.
  • Commit to quality, improvement, and HDR values.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field; MS preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field.
  • Registered Engineer.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with regional managers, technical directors, and client development teams.
  • Position requires that the applicant resides within the Greater Toronto Area or is willing to relocate.
