Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, and small parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures, utilizing advanced equipment and technology to capture accurate images and data.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound principles, techniques, and applications to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures, images, and results.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting excellent patient care and customer service.
Requirements
  • Registration in good standing with CMRITO required.
  • Recent experience in a hospital environment.
  • Competence in scanning abdominal, obstetrical, small parts, venous, carotid doppler, and assisting in interventional procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and making independent judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Reliable and adaptable, with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive team environment.
