Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, and small parts imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, and small parts imaging
  • Assist in interventional procedures and provide support to other imaging modalities as needed
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in ultrasound imaging
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication, ensuring a positive experience for all patients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Registration in good standing with the Canadian Medical Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required
  • Recent experience in a hospital environment, with a strong understanding of ultrasound imaging principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
