Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, and small parts imaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, and small parts imaging
  • Assist in interventional procedures and provide support to other imaging modalities as needed
  • Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in ultrasound imaging
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
  • Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring a positive experience for patients and families
Requirements
  • Registration in good standing with CMRITO required
  • Recent experience in a hospital environment
  • Competence in scanning abdominal, obstetrical, small parts, venous, carotid doppler, and assisting in interventional procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to assess complex pathologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and adaptable
