**Job Summary**

Vintage Hotels is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the supervision and preparation of meals and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, consistent with high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all team members have the necessary food and ingredients to serve the menu and/or fill up the buffet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on a daily basis.
  • Supervise and cook preparatory cooking of soup stocks and other preliminary preparation of food based on the menu requirements daily.
  • Act as a team leader, guiding and supporting kitchen team members to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and set up the buffet for breakfast/lunch/brunch and for a la carte menu items.
  • Conduct inventory control and ensure the rotation of food stocks.
  • Review kitchen function sheets daily to ensure that food items are available and that special item menu and/or buffet requirements are attainable.
  • Arrange for team members' lunch to be made and delivered to the team member restaurant daily.
  • Ensure that kitchen standards are upheld at all times, both personally and by team members.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Cooking through a recognized culinary institute with an apprenticeship program completed.
  • Experience in a fine dining establishment.
  • Excellent decision-making ability and above-average oral communication skills.
  • Good safety training and/or knowledge required.
  • Current Safe Food Handler's Certificate.
