**Job Summary**
Vintage Hotels is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the supervision and preparation of meals and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, consistent with high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all team members have the necessary ingredients and supplies to prepare and serve menu items and buffets.
- Supervise and coordinate the preparation of soup stocks and other preliminary food preparation tasks, ensuring that menu requirements are met daily.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring that all team members are working together to achieve high-quality standards.
- Prepare and set up buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a la carte menu items.
- Conduct inventory control and ensure that food stocks are rotated regularly.
- Review kitchen function sheets daily to ensure that food items are available and that special menu and buffet requirements can be met.
- Arrange for team members' lunches to be prepared and delivered to the team restaurant daily.
- Ensure that kitchen standards are maintained at all times, both personally and by team members.
Requirements:
- Certificate in Cooking from a recognized culinary institute, with completion of an apprenticeship program.
- Experience in a fine dining establishment.
- Excellent decision-making ability and above-average oral communication skills.
- Good safety training and/or knowledge required.
- Current Safe Food Handler's Certificate.
