**Job Summary**

Vintage Hotels is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the supervision and preparation of meals and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, consistent with high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all team members have the necessary ingredients and supplies to prepare and serve menu items and buffets.
  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation of soup stocks and other preliminary food preparation tasks, ensuring that menu requirements are met daily.
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring that all team members are working together to achieve high-quality standards.
  • Prepare and set up buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as a la carte menu items.
  • Conduct inventory control and ensure that food stocks are rotated regularly.
  • Review kitchen function sheets daily to ensure that food items are available and that special menu and buffet requirements can be met.
  • Arrange for team members' lunches to be prepared and delivered to the team restaurant daily.
  • Ensure that kitchen standards are maintained at all times, both personally and by team members.

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Cooking from a recognized culinary institute, with completion of an apprenticeship program.
  • Experience in a fine dining establishment.
  • Excellent decision-making ability and above-average oral communication skills.
  • Good safety training and/or knowledge required.
  • Current Safe Food Handler's Certificate.
