About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at NZ Consulting Canada Inc. as a User Support Technician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical support to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Research and Troubleshooting: Consult technical manuals, guides, and other documents to research and implement solutions to technical issues.
  • User Training and Education: Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties, ensuring they have the necessary skills to use computer systems effectively.
  • Problem Management: Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts, ensuring that knowledge is shared and best practices are followed.
  • Business Systems Support: Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Work Environment
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all technical support activities.

Requirements
  • Education: A college or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as computer science or information technology.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a technical support role, with a strong understanding of computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with users and technical support analysts.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed to ensure business operations are not disrupted.
