Job Summary: Westmoreland Mining LLC is seeking an experienced HR Manager I to provide local HR support and services for a designated site(s).

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field and a minimum of 6 years of related work experience. HR Certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership coaching to site operational leaders.
  • Supervise site support employees including HR generalists & specialists, payroll, or administrative support.
  • Manage site HR activities such as recruiting, performance management, employee/labor relations, disciplinary action, and local talent management efforts.
  • Research and prepare quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions and current program goals and progress.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Respond to employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and make recommendations to operations and HR leadership for remediation.
  • Evaluate the results of HR projects and initiatives to ensure expectations are met and determine next steps for improvement and sustainability.
