About This Opportunity

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing and closing projects in the engineering consulting sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Effectively source, negotiate, and facilitate new business.
  • Proposal and Contract Management: Create and deliver proposals inclusive of scope, fees, and qualifications for public and client RFPs.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop strong working relationships with clients.
  • Project Oversight: Assemble and guide a team of consultants toward meeting project objectives by overseeing documentation preparation.
  • Project Performance: Accountable for project performance, on-time delivery, and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial activities, including tracking revenue, issuing invoices, and recovering receivables.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure Quality Assurances are completed, recorded, and meet company standards and project scope.
  • Innovation: Track industry developments and innovations to ensure RWDI delivers relevant services and innovative deliverables.
  • Presentations and Conferences: Regularly develop and deliver presentations at project meetings and industry events.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development and project management within the engineering consulting sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Understanding of building design and construction process, codes, standards, and protocols.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 per annum.
