About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Zone Placements. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients and ensuring that their computer systems are running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Respond to users experiencing difficulties with their computer systems, providing timely and effective solutions to resolve their issues.
  • Research and Troubleshooting: Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Training and Development: Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to use our systems effectively.
  • Problem Management: Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts, ensuring that knowledge is shared and best practices are followed.
  • System Administration: Participate in the redesign of applications and other software, ensuring that our systems are up-to-date and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Network and Internet Support: Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations, ensuring that our systems are secure and data is protected.
Work Environment

As a Technical Support Specialist at Zone Placements, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a focus on attention to detail. You will be required to work under pressure and provide excellent customer service to our clients.

Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
