Job Summary

KNG Technical Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Technical Application Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Application Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and training to customers on our diagnostic products.

Key Responsibilities
  1. On-Site Application Studies: Perform on-site application studies and lab evaluations as required for all products.
  2. Correlation to Alternative Reference Methods: Correlate to alternative reference methods.
  3. Benchtop Interference Studies: Conduct benchtop interference studies.
  4. Linearity Studies: Conduct linearity studies.
  5. On-Site Customer Training: Provide on-site customer training.
  6. Customer Training Materials: Develop and maintain customer training materials and documents.
  7. Customer Support: Work with new customers after the sale to streamline the validation requirements for products and ensure a smooth, successful transition to their technology.
  8. Data Analysis: Review, prepare data outputs, and present performance data obtained during on-site applications studies to prospects and current customers as appropriate.
  9. Instrument Use and Application Issues: Understand and educate end users on instrument use and application issues, and perform data analysis in support of clinical applications objectives.
  10. Activity and Call Details: Enter the details of each activity and call including the steps taken to resolve problems and/or answer questions in the appropriate software platforms.
  11. Field Sales Support: Work closely with the field sales adding value through the sales process for all business opportunities.
  12. Centers of Excellence: Take a leading role in the development of their Centers of Excellence and champion KOL development.
  13. Industry Leadership: Become a trusted industry leader through podium presence, lectures, and educational delivery with accounts, professional associations, and at regional/national conferences.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree required; sciences with an appropriate discipline and/or industry experience.
  2. MLT or RT Qualification: MLT or RT qualification with appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  3. Clinical Knowledge and Experience: Relevant clinical knowledge and/or experience within the POC diagnostics industry.
  4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Requires excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Computer Skills: Computer skills, proficiency with MS Office package including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  6. Priority and Time Management Skills: Exceptional priority and time management skills.
  7. Interpersonal and Written Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills, with experience or aptitude in presenting.

  9. Bilingualism: Must be bilingual, English and French.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Related Experience: 4+ years of related experience in the diagnostics industry with emphasis on technical support and end user training.
  2. Clinical Laboratory Bench Experience: Clinical laboratory bench experience and/or POC experience is ideal.
  3. Statistics and Linear Regression Analysis: Competency with statistics and basic familiarity with linear regression analysis is a plus.
  4. Blood Glucose and Blood Gas Testing Meters: Familiarity with Blood Glucose and Blood Gas testing meters is a plus.
