Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team at Michael Garron Hospital, a division of Toronto East Health Network. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your career as a clinician leader in diabetes care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and expert consultation to the nursing, dietitian, and other care teams. They will play a key role in implementing best practices and clinical guidelines for diabetes care, promoting evidence-based interventions, and facilitating system changes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expert consultation to the nursing, dietitian, and other care teams.
  • Implement best practices and clinical guidelines for diabetes care.
  • Promote evidence-based interventions and facilitate system changes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years relevant clinical specialty-related experience in an acute care hospital setting.
  • Knowledge and skill in patient safety, change leadership, project management, and evaluation.
  • Evidence of sound knowledge and skill in adult education theory and techniques.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to work occasional shifts and weekends to support operational needs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and other data processing software.
Estimated Salary Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
