Our 50+ Endocrinologists, many of whom are nationally renowned for their areas of expertise, are supported by an interdisciplinary team of highly qualified professionals.

**What will the students do**:

- Data tracking: Entering data into our company's data software
- Calling to confirm upcoming diabetes education classes and diabetes educator visits
- Tracking attendance at diabetes education classes and calling no shows to rebook

**Volunteer students will have the opportunity to**:

- Help with diabetes research projects
- Other special projects assigned by the diabetes educators at the site

**Skills required**:

- Verbal communication skills to call patients for reminders
- Being able to work independently and remotely
- Able to meet deadlines

**Skills students will learn**:

- Time management skills
- Efficient data entry
- Diabetes management and how the healthcare providers assist patients
- Professional communication with supervisor and clients

**Length of time required**:6 months with possibility of extension. 4hrs/week (flexible schedule)

**What is the registration deadline for volunteer positions?**
LMC has volunteer opportunity available throughout the year, we recommend submitting volunteer interest ASAP

**Location**:

- Various LMC clinics within the GTA
- Currently seeing remote/virtual volunteers
