Job Description

The Diabetes Specialist Liaison will serve as a scientific resource for Canadian experts in the field of diabetes and related disorders. Your primary responsibility will be to respond to requests for in-depth, cutting-edge scientific information from the medical community. You will also gather feedback and insight from scientific experts and thought leaders to inform our research and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with the scientific community.
  • Provide deep and advanced disease state and product information to external customers, including scientific experts, researchers, educators, and clinical investigators.
  • Facilitate the work of scientific experts when it aligns with our mission.
  • Connect thought leaders and scientific experts with other Lilly resources, such as Discovery, Real World Evidence Scientists, Clinical Research Physicians, and Global/Canadian External Research & Development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced degree in health sciences (PhD, MD, Pharm D) with 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic experience in diabetes.
  • OR MSc in health care/professional designation (BScN, PT, RD etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to comprehend large amounts of scientific content and communicate in a clear, concise fashion.
  • Familiarity with the academic community and medical research.
  • Experience in professional networking with positive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills, with an ability to work within teams to prioritize key projects and medical tactics.
Benefits and Salary

This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth. The salary range is based on industry standards for similar positions in the Edmonton area.
