Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Denny's Restaurants. This role will be responsible for coordinating and executing corporate functions, ensuring seamless events from planning to execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote conference and meeting services or special events by communicating with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Assist in budget preparation by researching and estimating costs associated with event logistics, catering, audiovisual equipment, and other requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities, including setup, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details for special events.
  • Confirm and coordinate speakers, including arranging for transportation and accommodations if necessary.
  • Implement registration systems, plan schedules, goals, and objectives for events.
  • Plan for required documentation, pre- and post-distribution of itineraries, evaluations, and other materials.
  • Manage Event Logistics, including planning social events, guest programs, and VIP arrangements.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination or a related field.
  • College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as hospitality, business administration, or event management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools, including event management platforms and digital marketing tools.
