Job Title: Security and Safety Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security and Safety Specialist to join our team at Canada Goose. As a Security and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all store activities and respond to all security and safety matters in a timely manner.
  • Assist in mitigating loss and the protection of assets by maintaining strong operational controls.
  • Develop and maintain a professional relationship with external partners to ensure all parties are well-informed with current and relevant information.
  • Ensure all facility safety procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and on-site emergencies.
  • Assess and assist in the establishment of security protocols for the store, including emergency response procedures.
  • Complete and submit incident reports, health and safety inspections, operational control checklists, and action planning.
  • Conduct security audits intended to prevent property loss.
  • Provide new hire and continuous employee training to maintain store loss prevention awareness.
  • Support initiatives to maintain brand standards in the delivery and merchandising processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sr. Loss Prevention Manager to help influence brand strategies for mitigating loss.
  • Maintain standards for store security equipment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a security services position in a retail setting.
  • Solid understanding of workplace safety and emergency procedures.
  • Previous experience in Loss Prevention.
  • Valid first aid and CPR certificates.
  • Possess Security Guard License, or willing to acquire required licensing.
  • Team player with a proven growth mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous record keeping, report writing, and observation skills.
  • Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities.
