Business Development Coordinator

Opportunity Overview
Aecon, a leading Canadian infrastructure developer, is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support its Civil East Major Projects division in international expansion. The successful candidate will contribute to the company's growth in the Caribbean and Latin American regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Update the project pipeline and ensure a clear view of business opportunities
- Research and analyze target countries for business expansion, gathering market information and competition insights
- Identify emerging projects in the Latin America and Caribbean regions to foster new business opportunities
- Prepare and develop proposal submissions, ensuring quality and consistency
- Create engaging presentations for clients and Aecon executives
- Assist in the assembly and presentation of proposal packages, ensuring compliance with required standards
- Organize and manage activity logs and submission files
- Support meeting preparation and minute-taking
- Participate in networking activities and events to strengthen relationships and enhance the company's visibility
- Coordinate the signing of NDAs and other necessary legal documents
- Manage travel arrangements and track expenses
- Support due diligence on potential clients and partners
- Assist in business establishment processes to enter new jurisdictions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, civil engineering, or a related field
- Ability to navigate complex political situations and be sensitive to diverse cultures
- Cross-cultural agility and awareness of Aboriginal culture and history
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint and Power BI
- Fluency in English and Spanish
