We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Sales & Marketing who will lead and develop a highly motivated and skilled business development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing Rodan's revenues across all lines of business in North America, attracting and developing top business development talent, and implementing a disciplined and metrics-driven approach to managing sales performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of North American electricity markets and the energy services sector, including demand response, distributed energy resources, and software/energy as a service. They will also possess excellent financial and analytical skills, as well as powerful verbal and written communication skills utilizing various mediums.

About this Role

  1. Develop and execute sales strategy to grow Rodan's revenues across all lines of business in North America.
  2. Attract and develop top business development talent.
  3. Implement a highly disciplined and organized approach to managing and reporting on sales performance.
  4. Establish annual business development budgets, sales targets, and strategic plans.
  5. Actively identify and implement growth opportunities.
  6. Develop new and iterate existing products by engaging with customers, with an eye on the competitive environment, market conditions, and scalability.
  7. Serve as a key member of the leadership team and provide input on overall business direction, foster a positive work culture, and collaborate with other functional leaders.
  8. Participate in industry events and organizations to continuously learn and demonstrate thought leadership.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of successful sales leadership experience, having managed sales and marketing professionals.
  • A balance of strategic vision and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
  • Demonstrated record of meeting and exceeding yearly sales team targets.
  • Strong understanding of North American electricity markets and the energy services sector.
  • Post-secondary degree.
  • Ability to deliver on short-term targets while implementing a long-range strategy and vision.
  • Powerful verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills.
  • Product development leadership skills.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to business development.
  • Strong C-Level presence and executive credibility.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US and Canada.

Salary Information

This role comes with a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $250,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a bonus structure that rewards high-performing candidates. A comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) matching program, is also offered.
