Job Responsibilities
Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals. In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with the standards of professional practice.

Work Environment
Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 Acute Care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical centre for the Northeast Region of BC. Services include:

Emergency

ICU

Day Surgery

Respiratory Therapy

Primary Care

Acute Care

Diagnostic Imaging

Laboratory
Visiting specialists including:

Urology

Dermatology

Pediatrics

Obstetrics and Gynecology

Requirements
Graduate of a recognized/accredited North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography). Current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, generalist, cardiac, and/or vascular). Active membership in good standing with ARDMS and/or Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS).
