**Position Summary**:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Sonography department.
- In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with the standards of professional practice, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals.
- **Shift Rotation/Hours of work**: Days - 08:00 to 16:00, Rotating
- **Dawson Creek & District Hospital **Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full service community hospital that provides service to Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 Acute Care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical centre for the Northeast Region of BC. Services include:
- Emergency
- ICU
- Day Surgery
- Respiratory Therapy
- Primary Care
- Acute Care
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Laboratory
Visiting specialists including:
- Urology
- Dermatology
- Pediatrics
- Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dawson Creek has a population of approximately 12,500. It provides primary service to a population of approximately 20,000 and helps serve the larger population of the Peace River Region of 60,000. There are eleven elementary schools, one middle school and one secondary school. The Northern Lights College provides adult education. **Qualifications**:
- Graduate of a recognized/accredited North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography). Current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP) as required for the assigned practice area (such as, generalist, cardiac, and/or vascular). Active membership in good standing with ARDMS and/or Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS).
