Physician Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Associate to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As an Associate Physician, you will provide acute inpatient medical and surgical care under the supervision of attending physicians.
About the Role- You will work closely with physicians and surgeons to deliver high-quality patient care in emergency department settings.
- Under the guidance of experienced medical staff, you will perform a range of clinical duties, including history taking, physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications.
- As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive care plans for patients with complex medical conditions.
- Educated to a minimum standard that enables registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
- Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or eligibility to live and work in British Columbia.
- Possess Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and maintain it throughout your employment.
- Knowledge and skills to diagnose and manage common medical problems in medical and perioperative patients.
- Experience in recognizing and responding to emergency situations, such as shock, acute coronary syndrome, stroke, etc.
- Able to assess and initiate treatment of acute injuries and illnesses in the emergency department.
