Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Capital Works Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Webber. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining contracted assets, including bridges, culverts, roadways, and signs, to ensure they meet the required standards and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain highways, roads, and bridges using heavy equipment and hand tools.
  • Set up and remove traffic control measures in accordance with OTM Book 7.
  • Operate a range of heavy equipment, including traffic control equipment, vac trucks, and boom trucks.
  • Work with concrete, asphalt, and steel, including welding, cutting, and forming.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Be available for emergency repairs, including rail repairs, end treatment repairs, and fencing.
  • Work at heights in bucket trucks, scaffolding, and aerial platforms.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years' experience in bridge/road construction and maintenance.
  • Valid G driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to attain a valid Ontario Class DZ license.
  • Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, and WHMIS.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will spend time completing field work, working in a variety of weather conditions, and occasionally exposed to hazardous materials.
