Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Works Project Manager to join our team at the City of Toronto. As a key member of our infrastructure planning and delivery team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating complex capital works projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of capital works projects.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external partners, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide input into project budgeting and financial planning, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.
  • Support the development of strategic and innovative approaches to capital works planning, coordination, and delivery.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a professional discipline pertinent to municipal infrastructure planning and delivery.
  • Relevant project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
  • Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
