Field Based HR Business Partner: Strategic Talent Management

The Field Human Resource Business Partner will play a pivotal role in leading and directing the Human Resources (HR) function for their business unit, encompassing employee relations, performance management, training & development, employee leave, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on HR policy and laws for the business unit, providing guidance and support to field managers and staff members.
- Offer advice and counsel on employee relations issues, ensuring a fair and equitable work environment.
- Provide constructive and timely performance feedback to field managers, promoting growth and development.
- Manage the discipline and termination process of employees in accordance with company policy, upholding organizational standards.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Specialist to oversee FMLA and LOA approvals and processes, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
- Assist with recruiting and interviewing as needed, contributing to the identification and selection of top talent.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partner with the leadership team to execute the organization's human resource strategy, particularly as it relates to employee relations, retention, and succession planning.
- Offer support and guidance to Director of Operations, Market Coaches, Area Coaches, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise, demonstrating expertise and professionalism.
- Conduct investigations into employee relations concerns, including Title VII and/or other employment law violations, upholding the highest standards of fairness and impartiality.
- Complete store visit forms during visits and submit findings to Area Coach, Market Coach, and/or Director of Operations, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Actively participate in 3x3 and people planning processes, offering valuable insights and feedback on field-level manager performance and professional behaviors.
- Analyze trends in turnover and staffing, researching and proposing recommendations to retain top talent and enhance overall workforce engagement.
- Create learning and development initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees, driving growth and advancement within the organization.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, maintaining a fair and respectful work environment.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices, reviewing policies and practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Deliver training and development classes on a variety of Human Resource subjects, enhancing knowledge and skills among employees.
- Assist with job fairs or other recruiting needs, contributing to the attraction and retention of top talent.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law, staying ahead of industry developments.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Requirements:

- Able to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, upholding the organization's values and principles.
- Possess thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, using laptops, desktops, or tablets as required.
- Able to quickly learn and utilize the organization's HRIS and talent management systems, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Willing to travel extensively, spending at least 60% of time away from home base, and available for on-call support outside of regular working hours.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, such as restaurants, with ability to wear slip-resistant shoes as necessary.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, with emphasis on academic achievements and relevant coursework.
- Minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred, with a focus on HR operations, recruitment, and talent development.
- Restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience highly preferred, with understanding of industry-specific challenges and requirements.
- Multi-unit experience highly preferred, with ability to adapt to diverse markets and customer bases.
- SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR certification highly desired, demonstrating expertise and commitment to human resource management.
