Job Summary

Northern Health Authority seeks an experienced Executive Director, Professional Practice and Clinical Learning to provide senior leadership and direction to the Professional Practice team. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field, plus ten years of progressive clinical leadership experience in a large, complex public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead professional practice, clinical learning, program management, change management, and strategic initiative development, implementation, evaluation, and systems planning in a large health organization.
  2. Develop and write proposals, projects, and research documents. Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related technology.
  3. Champion innovation and creativity in clinical practice, adult education, and long-term planning.
  4. Establish partnerships within the region and with external partners and academic institutions.
  5. Synthesize information and prepare policy documents, planning documents, and project proposals for a variety of audiences.
Requirements
  • A combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to completion of a Master's degree in Nursing or Allied Health, plus ten years of progressive clinical leadership experience in a large, complex public sector environment.
  • Experience in leading professional practice, clinical learning, program management, change management, and strategic initiative development, implementation, evaluation, and systems planning in a large health organization.
  • Current full practicing registration with the applicable provincial College or Association is required.
