Clinical Operations Specialist

Northern Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Transfer Services team, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing clinical practices, processes, and documentation to enable effective and efficient care in our departments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-line clinical care and related experience in bed management, patient transportation, and clinical operations EMR use. You will be responsible for guiding, coaching, teaching, and promoting a learning environment and continuous quality improvement.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with clinical leaders, Information and Technology Services, clinical managers and directors, physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to improve patient transportation services. You will also be responsible for managing time and resources, implementing activities to promote cooperation among relevant others, and supervising responsibilities of others.

Key Responsibilities
Research, develop, and implement clinical practices, processes, and documentation to enable effective and efficient care in our departments.
Guide, coach, teach, and promote a learning environment and continuous quality improvement.
Collaborate with clinical leaders, Information and Technology Services, clinical managers and directors, physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to improve patient transportation services.
Manage time and resources, implement activities to promote cooperation among relevant others, and supervise responsibilities of others.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Minimum five (5) years in front-line clinical care and related experience in bed management, patient transportation as well as related experience working in clinical operations EMR use.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Valid BC driver's license.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively; ability to foster collaborative partnerships using a team approach with the clients, families, the public, medical staff, and the members of the interdisciplinary team using verbal, written and computer communication means.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data (from multiple sources) to problem-solve effectively.
Demonstrated ability to challenge conventional practices; adapt established methods for new uses; pursue ongoing system improvement; and evaluate new technology as potential solutions to existing problems.
Able to deal with unresolved situations, frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Strong organizational skills and experience in project management; ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently.
Ability to transmit information intended to instruct clients and others about topics essential to health care and well-being.
Ability to operate related equipment including proven ability to utilize computer technology.
Ability and willingness to travel.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
