Northern Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director of Clinical Informatics to lead the development and implementation of technology-enabled medical and clinical information management solutions across our health organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic physician engagement in our information technology initiatives, as well as the overall development of strategies to maximize physician uptake of technology solutions.

In partnership with key clinical leaders, this role will advise on strategies for development & design, implementation, benefits, change management & adoption, and utilization & evaluation of informatics solutions such as electronic medical records, electronic health records, computerized provider order entry, provider order management, electronic documentation, health information exchanges, virtual health and other communication and information systems used in the clinical settings across the care continuum.

Job Description

This full-time permanent position at Brunswick Building (NH ITS-CORPORATE) requires a clinician with extensive experience in clinical leadership and a strong background in electronic clinical systems.

The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge of clinical practice and the roles of multidisciplinary health care team members within a patient and family centered care model.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Clinical leadership experience in the health care sector including experience with electronic clinical systems.
  • Broad knowledge of clinical practice and the roles of multidisciplinary health care team members within a patient and family centered care model.
  • Knowledge of patient safety/quality management, performance management and accreditation standards.

Estimated Salary Range

$187,972 - $234,966 per annum based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
