Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Culinary Team Lead to join our team at The Bridge Bistro. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing culinary team and overseeing the preparation and presentation of exceptional dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability.
  • Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to guarantee seamless execution and quality control.
  • Create new recipes that showcase your creativity and attention to detail.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets and special occasions.
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure timely delivery and minimize waste.
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards by selecting fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar position.
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

Personal Suitability:

You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, organization, reliability, and teamwork skills to thrive in this role.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
