Restaurant Operations Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Restaurant Operations Assistant to join our team at Crabby Joe's Bar and Grill in Kitchener. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, including supervising staff, managing events, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including setting staff work schedules and managing inventory
  • Supervise staff and ensure they are meeting expectations
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Leading/instructing individuals
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Provide customer service
  • Manage events, including weddings, parties, and corporate functions
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Urban area experience preferred
  • Willing to relocate
  • Relocation costs not covered by employer
  • MS Office and MS Windows skills
  • Point of sale system experience
  • Own transportation
  • Fast-paced environment and ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work a variety of shifts
