About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Shivas Dosa Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of quality, service, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management
    • Analyze financial reports to identify areas for cost reduction and implement strategies to boost profits.
    • Develop and manage budgets to determine costs of food, ingredients, and supplies.
    • Monitor revenues and labor costs to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Operational Management
    • Evaluate daily operations and implement changes to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices to align with budgetary requirements.
    • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and training as needed.
    • Plan and organize daily operations, including staff scheduling and inventory management.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Marketing and Promotion
    • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the restaurant and attract new customers.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the restaurant maintains a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Technology and Systems
    • Manage and maintain accounting software, point of sale systems, and other technology used in the restaurant.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field, such as hospitality or business.
  • Experience
    • 2-3 years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions.
    • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of accounting software and point of sale systems.
