About the Role

Pesce & Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our client, Open Doors for Lanark Children and Youth (ODLCY), a renowned child and youth mental health center. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for the overall direction and success of the organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Governance: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the organization, working closely with the Board of Directors to inform and direct organizational strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain positive relationships with government funders, stakeholders, and community partners, advocating for ongoing funding and support.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory and government bodies.
  • Human Resources: Recruit, orient, and evaluate key staff, empowering them to create a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans, budgets, and capital plans to ensure the organization's long-term success.
  • Community Relations: Build and maintain relationships with the community, promoting ODLCY's image and reputation.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate degree in Social Work or a related field, or a graduate degree in Business Administration with an undergraduate degree in Social Sciences.
  • Experience: Minimum five years' management experience in a field related to mental health or social services, with proven experience in employee relations, fiscal management, strategic planning, and change management.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and community partners.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of children's health initiatives, funding, and Ontario systems, with experience working in a not-for-profit organization.
