MISSION
The Chief Executive Officer will be instrumental in the transformation and growth of the organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will take on a crucial leadership role, actively influencing the effective management and strategic direction of the organization and its programs. The CEO will cultivate strong relationships with the community, funders, partners, and staff to drive the strategic goals and priorities of the organization.
The Pod Group is collaborating with this organization to identify a highly passionate and driven leader for the role of Chief Executive Officer.
PRIORITIES
- Represent the organization as a member of the Provincial Lead Agency Consortium, advocating for the organization’s role as a vital contributor to provincial system planning through consortium-led initiatives.
- Guide the organization in completing the Strategic Plan aligned with its Mission and Vision to support children, families, and communities.
- Promote equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging to enhance innovation and support for the community.
- Direct and engage the leadership team to manage the organization ethically, efficiently, and effectively while upholding the organization’s values as a Lead Agency.
- Establish client-focused program planning, evaluation, and service direction.
- Advocate for the organization’s needs through programming and daily operations.
- Oversee the administration of approved budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and maintaining a positive financial position.
- Implement rigorous accountability standards for budget tracking and ensure effective risk management and internal control systems.
- Foster an organizational culture that inspires passion for the mission and vision while ensuring appropriate human resources policies are in place.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other service providers and government agencies.
- Communicate with stakeholders to enhance the organization’s visibility and influence as a lead agency, identifying opportunities for broader community collaboration.
- Lead and manage the preparation and submission of funding applications, maintaining excellent relationships with funding bodies.
- Facilitate the development of a Governance Model with the Board of Directors, ensuring focus on achieving the Strategic Plan while fostering ownership of fiduciary responsibilities.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Directors.
REQUIREMENTS
TALENTS & EXPERTISE
- Master's degree in Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A blend of education and experience in the non-profit sector and related fields.
- Demonstrated success at the senior management level in administration concerning human resources, organizational management, and financial oversight.
- Proven leadership experience in a complex organization within youth mental health, broader healthcare, professional services, or public/private sectors.
- Successful track record in change management and cultural transformation.
- Experience in building strong partnerships with relevant organizations to effectively advance the mission and deliver high-quality services.
- Expertise in developing and executing long-term strategic plans with aligned budgets and operational accountability.
- Thorough understanding of anti-racist and anti-oppression frameworks, policies, and practices, with knowledge of system-level issues.
- A strong motivator capable of fostering an inclusive work environment that reflects community diversity.
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills and the ability to train staff on evolving policies and practices.
- A comprehensive understanding of legislation and best practices in the non-profit sector is preferred.
