Job Overview

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support III professional to provide essential office and clerical assistance in the Calgary TB Clinic (CTBC). This role will involve supporting the clinic's operations, ensuring smooth administrative functions, and assisting healthcare providers in the delivery of services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage front desk activities, including greeting patients and visitors, answering phones, and responding to inquiries.
  • Patient Scheduling and Appointment Coordination: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, including follow-ups for TB testing and treatment. Monitor and manage patient waitlists, ensuring patients are scheduled within appropriate timeframes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Assist with the preparation and organization of patient charts and clinic files. Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary education (e.g., Medical Office Administration Diploma or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in administrative or office support, preferably in a community/ambulatory clinic or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and familiarity with Connect Care, iPHIS, Netcare.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include a comprehensive health and dental plan, paid vacation and sick leave, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
