About the Role:

Cosmos Counselling Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Clinical Counsellor to provide exceptional therapeutic services to children, youth, and families. This full-time or part-time contractor position offers a flexible schedule with competitive remuneration based on session rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Counselling and Therapy: Provide individual and family counselling sessions addressing emotional, behavioral, relational, and developmental challenges.
  2. Client Assessments and Planning: Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and monitor clients' progress.
  3. Case Management and Collaboration: Engage in collaborative case consultations with colleagues, participate in regular supervision, and maintain accurate, confidential records.
  4. Crisis Intervention and Support: Offer immediate crisis support, including referrals to other healthcare providers or community resources when necessary.
  5. Educational Resources: Provide psychoeducational resources to clients and families, promoting understanding of therapeutic processes and coping strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification and Registration: Must hold current registration as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with BCACC or Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) with CCPA.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a clinical setting. Trauma-informed care and attachment-based approaches are an asset.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to establish rapport, and proficiency in creating treatment plans and conducting assessments.

Work Environment and Benefits:

  • This is a contractor position with competitive remuneration based on session rates.
  • Scheduling is flexible, though some evening or weekend availability may be required.
  • The expected hours are no more than 20 per week.

Compensation: The estimated salary for this role is $1,000-$2,000 per week.
