Axis Family Resources Ltd. is a leading organization in British Columbia, Canada, providing community-based social services with a trauma-informed approach. As a Full Time Family Outreach Counsellor, you will be working with families and individuals to provide family of origin/systems work around trauma resolution, disrupted attachment with children, and group work.
About the RoleYou will develop, implement, and evaluate family-based intervention plans, participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of person served service plans with the integrated case management team. Building healthy relationships through trauma-informed practice is core to our work. Resiliency, empathy, patience, and boundary setting are essential qualities for this role.
RequirementsWe are seeking candidates with a bachelor's level degree in Social Work, Child & Youth Care, or other related Social Science. 1-2 years' experience in social services is preferred. You must demonstrate an ability to utilize a range of strategies for complex issues such as child abuse/neglect, family violence, and mental health challenges.
