Job Overview

We are hiring a Part-time Counsellor for our Family Strengthening Program, which focuses on supporting adoptive families and caregivers through therapy-based services. As a counsellor, you will work with clients to develop and implement family-based intervention plans, provide culturally sensitive support, and engage in crisis management when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate family-based intervention plans
  • Provide counselling services using a trauma-informed lens and evidence-based models
  • Collaborate with the integrated case management team to develop and implement family and person-centred plans
  • Offer support during crises, including evenings and weekends as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child & Youth Care, or a related field
  • Experience in outreach, crisis intervention, or family counselling
  • The ability to utilize a wide range of strategies to address complex issues
  • Level 1 First Aid training and certification, as well as CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
