About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team at Symposium Cafe and Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Train new staff members in their job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our menu demands.
  • Staff Management: Hire and manage our food service staff, ensuring that we have the right people in place to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers feel valued and respected.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, staff performance, and customer feedback.
  • Scheduling: Establish work schedules for our kitchen staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
