Position Overview

The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the daily activities within the food service department at Georgetown Softserve Inc. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, staff management, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Scheduling: Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Staff Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff responsible for food preparation and portioning.
  • Training: Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
  • Ingredient Estimation: Assess the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that food and service adhere to established quality control standards.
  • Budgeting: Prepare financial estimates and budget plans.
  • Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on operations.
  • Order Summaries: Compile food order summaries for the chef.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the establishment's culinary styles.
  • Tray Assembly Supervision: Oversee the assembly of food trays.
  • Delivery Oversight: Supervise the delivery of food trolleys.
  • Work Schedule Establishment: Create and manage work schedules for staff.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 32 hours per week.
