Job Description

This is a temporary, full-time position at BC Children's Hospital (BCCH), part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As a Clinical Operations Coordinator in our Oncology Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care and efficient department operations.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and book patient appointments using a computerized scheduling system.
  • Receive and register patients, ensuring accurate demographic information and follow-up as necessary.
  • Perform referral functions, including data entry and paperwork processing.
  • Provide receptionist duties, such as answering phones and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics, performing tasks like data entry and log sheet maintenance.
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced candidate with:

  • A Grade 12 diploma, plus two years of recent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to keyboard 45 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
