Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at BC Cancer, a leading cancer care center in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert nursing care to oncology patients, coordinate treatment plans, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $112,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in oncology nursing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including assessment, intervention, symptom management, and treatment coordination.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, injections, and blood products as required by the care plan.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
Requirements
  • Degree in Nursing from an approved institution and current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Current CPR (Level C) certification.
  • Minimum one year of recent related experience in oncology nursing or a similar field.
