About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to join our Corporate Development team, focusing on New Ventures and Strategic Alliances. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic investments that drive growth and innovation for Labcorp.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opportunity Sourcing: Develop and maintain relationships with venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Investment Strategy: Collaborate with our executive team to develop and implement a strategic investment plan that aligns with Labcorp's corporate goals.
  • Deal Funnel Management: Coordinate the review of investment opportunities with internal and external subject matter experts, prioritize opportunities, and conduct due diligence.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough financial, market, and competitive analysis to evaluate the viability of potential investments.
  • Deal Execution: Develop and present investment cases to our Venture Fund Committee, negotiate and close approved investments.
  • Portfolio Management: Serve as a liaison between our portfolio companies and Labcorp business units, guiding portfolio companies in developing their strategy and business plans.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, with an MBA and/or MS/PhD/MD preferred.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of work experience in a related healthcare field, with a strong track record of success in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among cross-functional teams and executive-level management.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly independent, strategic thinker with a mix of deep financial acumen, broad-based business experience, and a track record of distinctive leadership in a wide range of team settings.
