The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization in achieving its mission and vision. As the chief executive officer, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the Society, ensuring the effective delivery of services, and promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  1. Strategic Leadership

Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Society, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.

Operational Management

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Society, ensuring the effective delivery of services, and promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.

Financial Management

Provide financial leadership and management, ensuring the Society's financial stability and sustainability.

Human Resources Management

Lead the development and implementation of human resources strategies, ensuring the recruitment, retention, and development of a high-performing team.

Community Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, funders, and government agencies.

Advocacy

Advocate for the interests of children and youth, promoting their well-being and safety.

Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB)

  1. EDIB Leadership

Provide leadership and direction on EDIB initiatives, ensuring the Society's commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Culturally Sensitive Services

Ensure that services are culturally sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.

Indigenous Partnerships

Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, promoting reconciliation and cultural understanding.

Community Engagement

Engage with community partners, promoting the Society's EDIB initiatives and values.

Board Governance

  1. Board Leadership

Provide leadership and direction to the Board of Directors, ensuring effective governance and decision-making.

Strategic Planning

Develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the Society's mission, vision, and values.

Financial Management

Provide financial leadership and management, ensuring the Society's financial stability and sustainability.

Public Relations and Relationship Management

  1. Public Relations

Represent the Society in a professional and positive manner, promoting its mission, vision, and values.

Relationship Management

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, funders, and government agencies.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Leadership and Management

Proven leadership and management experience, with a track record of success in a similar role.

EDIB Knowledge and Experience

Strong knowledge and experience in EDIB initiatives, with a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Financial Management

Proven financial management experience, with a track record of success in managing budgets and resources.

Community Engagement

Strong community engagement and partnership-building skills, with a track record of success in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
