Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, this role focuses on cultivating new business alliances by promoting the services of Highline Forming Inc. As the position evolves, you will play a key role in expanding and enhancing the sales team, ensuring the achievement of overall revenue goals and providing contractual support to align with business development objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic insight and direction on sales initiatives, diversification, and growth avenues.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations to formulate a comprehensive and actionable 1-5 year business development strategy aimed at driving profitable expansion.
  • Identify and oversee client engagement, business development tactics, and execution, which includes creating a robust client pipeline, qualifying leads, and preparing business proposals and presentations.
  • Continuously refine a compelling client value proposition to maximize the benefits our clients derive from our services.
  • Manage the establishment and oversight of a timely proposal development process.
  • Develop and enhance sales and support frameworks, including proposal generation, controls, contractual agreements, KPI formulation, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across various organizational tiers, leading interactions in client-facing roles during complex negotiations, renewals, and expansions.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, assess pre-contract risks, and devise effective mitigation strategies.
  • Lead negotiations with potential clients and partners.
  • Stay informed on industry trends; assess market dynamics and performance; respond with necessary business adaptations.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, account management, contract management, or related fields, with a strong preference for experience in the construction sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Commerce, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Thorough understanding of procurement and proposal processes.
  • Outstanding negotiation and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce) is advantageous.
