The Human Resources Associate plays a vital role in maintaining and processing information related to benefits, employment contracts, and compensation training. This position provides administrative support to College employees, responds to inquiries, and provides information to leaders, division chairs, employees, students, and the general public.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and process information related to benefits, employment contracts, and compensation training.
- Provide administrative support to College employees, including responding to inquiries and providing information.
- Work under the guidance of the Team Lead and HR Partners to provide general information on HR processes, procedures, policies, benefit entitlements, collective agreements, and guidelines.
- Support the College's vision on wellness and personal/professional development opportunities for all employed members.
- Completion of Human Resources Diploma and a minimum of two years' experience working in a Human Resources position, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge of provincial and federal legislation covering Human Resource practices, including the Employment Standards Act, Freedom of Information/Protection of Privacy, and Human Rights.
- Knowledge of and experience with current Human Resource Management practices, benefits, and compensation data and business processes.
- Intermediate to Advanced working level with MS Office, including MS Access, and experience working with integrated corporate HRIS such as Workday or similar cloud-based ERP.
